Cecil Holmes, Educator

I am an widely published, self taught outdoor photographer and workshop instructor based in North Alabama.  My passion for nature and fine art drive my quest to capture the moods, characters and spirits of some wonderful and amazing locations.  I think photography says as much about the photographer as it does the photograph, so I strive to show you a little about myself and my view of the world in each image I share.

I teach small, field based workshops and also offer classroom based instruction near my home. I come from an IT background and my teaching methods reflect getting a fabulous image at the point of capture and enhancing that in the digital darkroom.

Lou Raimondi, Educator

I've been an avid photographer all of my adult life.  I purchased my first "serious" camera, a 35mm Minolta XG 1 in 1979 and began photographing parties, sporting events and the usual travel photos.

Seven years ago I decided to take my interest in photography to the next level.  I read a lot, shot a lot and started taking David Akoubian's workshops, which helped me develop my skills in landscape and nature photography.  I also served as Vice President of Programs for the Roswell Photographic Society. This allowed me to develop relationships with many nationally recognized photographers who have shared their talents and provided me photographic opportunities and advanced instruction, allowing me to further expand my skills as a photographer.

This has allowed me to shoot a wide variety of subjects including: college and professional sports, major concerts, corporate events and I conduct outdoor photography workshops.  I have spoken at Camera Clubs throughout North Georgia and my images have appeared in newspapers, magazines, in promotional material, and on the cover of the Yellow Pages.  I enjoy meeting new people and helping them develop their photography skills.
